The collection and processing of your personal data is a requirement for the execution and performance of any contract with KNOT.

Your personal data are collected and processed only within the scope of your contract with KNOT and the purposes associated with the contract’s terms and conditions.

Accordingly, KNOT informs you that your personal data, as well as the personal data of any employees you provide us, will be treated in accordance with the scope of the contract and the following terms:

1. Responsible for data processing:

ENOIDUA - UNIPESSOAL LDA., single shareholder limited liability company, Tax ID n.º 508 109 884, with registered office Rua Senhora da Luz 270 R/C, 4150-697 Porto.

2. Purposes of processing:

Processing payments under the executed contract; compliance with legal obligations, namely tax; processing and responding to possible requests; communications within the scope of the business and contractual relationship; other actions related to the execution and performance of the contract.

3. Legal basis for processing:

Processing data is necessary for the execution of a contract in which the data subject (the individual) is part; and treatment is necessary to fulfil legal obligations to which the controller (KNOT) is subject.

4. Personal data categories:

Identification data (name, personal or professional address, billing details, tax number, IBAN, nationality, citizen's card number, social security number), family status (marital status, spouse's name), professional information and activity (time and place of work, function, position, telephone contact, email address) or any other data that you decide to share with us during the duration of the contract.

5. Potential recipients of the data:

Third parties acting on behalf of KNOT, such as companies which process payments, companies belonging to the Group to which KNOT belongs, entities to which the data must be disclosed under a legal obligation such as the Tax and Customs Authority or Courts, among others, as well as to third parties in a situation of reorganisation, acquisition, joint-venture, transfer of part or all of the business and assets (including insolvency proceedings or similar procedures).

6. Data transfer to another country or international organisation:

KNOTwill only send personal data collected within the European Economic Area (EEA) to foreign countries in cases where it is necessary to follow their instructions, to comply with a legal obligation, or to work with agents and consultants who help us manage our businesses and services. If we transfer personal data outside the EEA, KNOT will ensure it is protected as if it were being used in the EEA. To this end, we will use one of the following safeguards: (i) transfer to a non-EEA country whose privacy legislation ensures an adequate level of protection of personal data similar to the EEA; (ii) implementation of a contract with the foreign entity that requires the entity to protect personal data according to the same standards used in the EEA; or (iii) transfer of personal data to organizations with specific international data transfer agreements with the European Union (e.g. Privacy Shield, which is a framework that sets privacy standards for data shared between the United States and European countries).

7. Retention period:

Ten years after the end of the contractual relationship, due to KNOT’s fiscal tax obligations.

8. Rights of individual:

The right to ask KNOT to access its personal data, as well as to request its rectification, erasure, limitation, opposition or portability, in cases when it is legally admissible, as well as the right to present complaints to a supervisory authority.
The collection and processing of data is a condition for the execution of contracts; withholding your personal data makes it impossible to execute and conclude a contract with KNOT.

If you have any questions about the treatment and use of your personal data or would like to make a complaint about a possible violation of privacy laws, please contact the data controller at support@knotkids.com or at the address Rua José Pereira, nº 10, urb. Quinta do Segulim, 1685-635 Famões.
